Kustom Kulture Forever show
This used to be the Bottrop Kustom Kulture show but has moved to an even better location nearby in Germany. I will be heading there after the Castle Run and I'll have a bunch of merch and stuff to sell so come and say hi and buy a t shirt or something to support the long trip we are making. Really stoked to see all my friends there this year. Also Cole Foster from Salinas Boys and Nick from ATR and Jeff Wright from Church of Choppers will be there for the first time.

Running with the Buells
I have always been a sportster geek, and I've stripped a couple Buells for the drivetrains. Last time I did that I felt kinda crappy. It was a tube framed cyclone. Not the most bitchin buell but still maybe I will be kicking myself for that someday. So I have been half assed keeping my eyes open for a tube framed Buell ever since and the other day an ad for an X1 lightning comes up. And at a fair price. Damn... So I grabbed it. It needed fork seals and a new muffler. It also never had the rear shock recall performed but luckily the cyclone I stripped did and so I have the correct replacement for it. To me it's the most pure evolution of what a sportster should be. I just hope I can get used to the handling and brakes. It may be too good for me.
A nice place to put your ass
My friend Ryan asked me to redo the beat up seat for his survivor knucklehead that he just got back on the road. He had an old pic of it and told me he wanted skinny pleats so we went with 3/4". The pan was roached and the foam was toast so after a little magic it was ready to go.

Gusano Negro
Spent a couple weeks on my friend Chatty's shovel. It came in for a new seat and left with almost a complete facelift. New bars, tank, headlight, cables, seat, rebuilt front end and a few other things.

Where's Le Beef? Part two...
Two weeks ago a big rig unloaded a '60 panhead and a few days later Le Beef touched down at LAX and began his thrash to get all the fab work done on his Born Free build. In 10 total days he pulled off a shit ton of work. Lots of late nights and he hardly got to see the light of day before he went back home to Sweden. He will return in June before the show to do final assembly and in the mean time parts will be sent out for paint and chrome. Keep your eyes peeled, and give him some love when you see him at the show in June. Pulling off a build like this ain't a walk in the park...

Tripping out
So I usually go to Germany every year for a big car and bike show called Bottrop. This year the venue has changed and its called Kustom Kulture Forever. So I had already booked my flight and then Dean from DicE said I'm shipping my panhead over for the summer you should too. And then I was like yeah, but I'm broke and I already have my ticket, and then he was like yeah but it won't cost too much since we're gonna split the cost of shipping and we will have places to stay, and then I was like yeah but that's a lot of time from work, and then he was like yeah but life is short, and then I was like OK, I'm in. So we will be at the Castle Run in Denmark, the Kustom Kulture Forever show in Germany, and the last ever Jokers show in Sweden. I decided to ship the Bad Habit sportster instead of my Knuck because my plan is to leave the bike there and sell it after the trip in June. If anyone is interested in the bike, send me an email to oldgoldgarage@att.net , it will be shipped and import duties paid etc. Life is short, see you soon Europa...
