In the summer of '78, I was an extra in the rendezvous scenes for the movie "The Mountain Man", starring Charleton Heston, and Brian Keith. They filmed in the Bridger-Teton Natnl. Forest, Jackson, and at Slim Pickins'ranch near Jackson, WY. Not only did I meet Heston and Keith, but I also got to meet Slim Pickins. He would come down and watch the filming every day.
When I met Pickins, the first thing that flashed through my mind, when he shook my hand, was (out of all the movies I'd seen Pickins in) that scene from Dr. Strangelove where he's riding the A-bomb bronco-style. Just like in the photo you posted here.
I know, I know, not as good as your "Fuck You Iggy Pop" story (I still laugh when I think about it!), but.....
